So you’ll always be ready for a meltdown:  La Cie’s molten gold USB external hard drive now comes in a 1 TB edition, which knocks the price of the 500 MB original down to $99.  Yes, cheaper hard drives do exist; but at what price fabulosity?

I learned how to prepare a large dinner party from my friend Erik, whose painstaking schedule of food going in and food coming out was always scrawled on a Post-It stuck to the stove. For Erik, and for Thanksgiving, the DoneRight timer is shaped like a tiny stove marked with five clocks that correspond to your burners and oven.

Which virtually guarantees your food (and your Post-It) won’t go down in flames.

Isabelle Ribeiro, photographer extraordinaire and fellow UCF alumna, just exhibited her first solo show at Orange Studio in downtown Orlando.  While you might not be able to catch her work in person, you can collect photos of her dolls–rambunctious hair and eerie optics abound–in her amazing Blurb collection.

A word of warning:  the dolls might not take kindly to being sliced out of their book.  Just buy a print from Isabelle instead.

Or in this case, a don’t is a do:  these smooshy boots are multitasking genius (again, made from synthetic materials, following the trend set by my Kohl’s purse; I’ve been gravitating toward the cheap lately, but can you blame me?).  Wear them to dress skinny jeans up or skirts down, all for $65.

While the instructions say “keep out of reach of children five and under,” I know from experience that there is no greater joy for my two-year-old daughter than vacuuming up crumbs with her magic pig.  (There’s a cow too, if steak’s more your thing.)

And by my calculations, the rebate (send in a form, get a prepaid Visa card in return) brings this sucker down to a very magical $3.
