These wooden birds have Bette Davis eyes. Plus, they’re mix-and-matchable. Line a few up on a dresser, until your baby is old enough to switch out their heads.

My mom waltzes into my house the other day and spies my dELiA*s catalog.
“You still get that thing?” she says. “Aren’t you a little…”
I cut her off.  “Oh, I still buy things from it.” {Snickers to cover fleeting moment of recognition and shame.}
This spring, I’m ordering the Geo Tribal Tee.
Take that, kids.
Take 15% off your entire dELiA*s purchase! Hurry, ends 4.09.09. Use code APR15.
The things I like about Laura Su’s company Prismera Design (there are many, so bear with me):
1. Its name, which is a fanciful combination of “prism” and “chimera.” Beyond its lovely connotations of phantom rainbows, it just sounds good rolling off the tongue.
2. The fact that Prismera Design creates some of my favorite airy jewelry. Big and bold, thin and delicate: the collections make metal into flora, with names like “Titanopsis” and “Phlox.”
3. In addition to jewelry, Prismera also produces a pantheon of everyday things, such as this sweet birdhouse-esque box for your jewelry, with a felt insert that keeps pieces in place. Their hand-drawn cards, featuring natural motifs, are not to be missed; if someone wrote me a note on one of these flats, I’d probably frame it.
In celebration of Prismera’s new “Under the Sea” note card designs, we’re giving away four cards from the collection, printed with soy-based inks onto 60% post-consumer recycled paper and accompanied by a 100% recycled kraft envelope that resembles the prettiest paper bag you’ve ever seen. To win a set of Algae, Branch, Coral and Pod note cards, leave a comment on this post. Extra entries are available if you: tweet this giveaway (please leave a separate comment with a link to your tweet…simply saying “I tweeted!” doesn’t count); post about it on your own blog (please leave a separate comment with a link to your post); and/or sign up to receive Misosouper via e-mail.
the fine print:

From Shelteriffic, a teddy with no heady. Not for your sensitive three-year-old.
Photojojo turns empty glass jars into picture frames. Can you say genius summer project?
Over at the b-line, Amy assembles lovely things that begin with the letter “u.” It’s windowshopping, Sesame Street style!
The comments on this Apartment Therapy post are more entertaining than the artwork, which leads the AT folks to defiantly round up more typographic artwork.
And hey! Speaking of artwork, have you entered to win our enormouschampion giveaway? Go do that, and we’ll see you back here on Monday.
An Easter treat for the kid who likes to count her Lincolns.
