Technology is a funny thing. The more addicted I become to Instagram, the more I miss my old Polaroid. After seeing so many beautiful images on the blogs of the folks I met at Alt Summit, I’m inspired to become a better photographer myself. So I might need this adorable camera bag to help me tote around my gear. Now I just wish I knew where she got those tights.
I’m all packed and ready to leave for Alt Summit tomorrow! I shouldn’t be congratulating myself for packing a 3-day trip into a carry-on, but I’m very pleased with myself for succeeding. I do wish, however, that my suitcase had a little more class than the Samsonite brick on wheels I’ll be hefting into the overhead. Like this, for example. But with enough room for the four pairs of shoes I’m bringing.
Marc Jacobs must have been watching the opening season of Portlandia, because he’s gone and put a bird on it.
Maybe it was the recession, or maybe I just got lucky, but holiday travel was surprisingly mellow this year. Lines were short, departures were on time, flights were smooth, and the toddler was well-behaved. It made me think I should fly more often, maybe even get some stylish luggage tags.
My best friend and I have a tradition of gifting each other with bracelets. This year, my favorite Christmas present of all was a silver Tahitian pearl bangle. Simple, elegant, beautiful, and it reminds me of home.
