I love accessorizing in the fall before the big bulky sweaters have to come out. Tweed blazers look so good paired with a thin girly blouse and chunky necklaces, scarves, and pins. And of course, boots, always.
The kids in my town are headed back to school this week with crisp new folders, unchewed pencils, and sweet-smelling erasers. While the backpacks I’m seeing on the street are usually more of the Spiderman variety, I’m nevertheless inspired to relive my school days and get myself one of these.
I’ve never been able to justify spending thousands of dollars on a handbag, but ohmygod look at how beautiful this Valentino tote is. Whoever said money can’t buy happiness was not shopping at Bergdorfs that day.
I’ve been on the hunt for a wide belt for ages. Call off the search! The jute braiding caught my eye, but the antique brass clasp sealed the deal. I might need those jeans, too.
I guess I’m a sucker for old-fashioned romance, because I melted when I saw this personalized stump ring. It reminds me of young love on a breezy summer’s day, carving initials into an old oak tree in a meadow… which is so far from my present reality (the daily grind of family life in the city) that it makes me laugh at my own corny nostalgia. Oh well, at least a girl can dream.
