Last weekend kicked off the cold and rainy San Francisco winter. The temperatures dropped into the high 40s (gasp!) and everyone bundled up, huddled indoors on Saturday night, and talked about it on Twitter. Unfortunately, we eventually have to leave the warmth of our laptops and head back outside, but at least we can do it in style.

Alas, my vacation is behind me and it’s time to embrace fall. I heard from friends back east that they’d had their first frost last week, so I’m sending warm and fuzzy thoughts—and boots—in their direction.

Remember those wireframe school desks that had a tiny desk attached to the chair? When I saw this side table, I had a quick nervous flashback to scantron tests and #2 pencils. But once I recovered, I decided I liked it.

Down with the tyranny of white earbuds! Marc Jacobs is shaking up the ubiquitous iPod look with a pop of color and a pair of stars. I can’t vouch for how they sound, but they are way more stylish than what’s coming out of Cupertino.
