Shoulda, coulda, woulda: if I had consulted my prophecy board before I went on vacation, I would have known that bringing two laptops and an iPhone would not be enough; that both (that’s right, both) laptops would die; and that I would have to make a panicked trip to Circuit City to buy their replacement. (The laptops were old, so the purchase was untimely but overdue.)

Oh no!!!! That’s horrible! What did you get as a replacement? You should totally spring for a Macbook to go with that lurvely iPhone. Or you can give me the iPhone.
Seriously though, sorry you had to go through that. Hope you have a good vacation and let’s see some pics when you return!
