bamboozled

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

I think it’s ironic that Apple goes to such great lengths to make their products as thin and svelte as electronically possible, and then we all go and wrap them in thick, hard shell cases to protect them.

phoning it in

Friday, June 24th, 2011

It’s a little disturbing how adept my 15-month-old son is at operating my iPhone. He’s got the swipe down. He loves the click of the home button. He throws a fit if the mute button is on because he KNOWS that a catchy little jingle should start playing when he launches his favorite app.

songs for japan

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Here’s the best $10 you’ll spend on music this week. Songs for Japan is a compilation of nearly 40 songs by artists ranging from John Lennon to Lady Gaga. All of the musicians and their labels waived royalties, and iTunes is donating all proceeds to the Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. Please donate!

nano nano

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

I’m an impulse buyer, and I hate to wait, so pre-ordering is generally not my thing. But when I spotted this watch, I had to pause. The band serves as a docking station for an iPod Nano, so you can wear it as a watch. It puts a multi-touch spin on the classic spy watch. Pretty cool, so I suppose it’s worth the 4-6 week wait.

an apple a day

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Say goodbye to messy seeds in your garden with this apple bird feeder. The minimalist bamboo design is simple, elegant, and sustainable. Just skewer an apple and wait for the sparrows to land.
