Round-toed, pewter flats are a staple in my closet: in the winter (or what constitutes winter in Florida), they go with skinny or wide-legged jeans; in the summer, they look cute with short, full skirts. Thing is, flats in this particular color and style are particularly hard to find–they’re either too shiny, too cheap-looking, or too gold. I’ve tried every brand known to human kind, and my conclusion is that arch support is negligible (and easily fixable with inserts), so inexpensive pairs are just as good as pricey ones.
So go, go, go and buy these Mossimo faux-leather ballet flats, before they disappear. They’re decently comfy, especially with new insoles, cut so that even big feet (ahem) look small, and a perfectly golden shade of silver. (What? Strange, I know.) At $12.99, they’re a steal, even if you do have to spend a few extra dollars to beef up the instep.
