soak it in

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

Last Sunday we had the first rainy day of the season, and all I wanted to do was curl up in a hot bath with a cup of tea and a really good book. Of course, with a sick toddler at home, this was a complete fantasy. But one can dream…

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

Just when I thought the ubiquitous owl trend had run its course, I stumbled upon this shower caddy. And I figured, hey. Why should my kid get all the cute bath gear?

tug-a-lug

Friday, March 25th, 2011

One of the best presents that my son received on his big 1st birthday is this tugboat from Green Toys. It’s made from recycled plastic, and it doubles as a spout to pour water and help rinse in the bath. Super cute, eco-friendly and totally useful. He loves it, I love it, win-win!

thar she blows

sky of blue and sea of green

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

If there’s one song that reminds me of childhood, it’s Yellow Submarine. I hear the first notes and the opening line — “In the tooooowwwwn where I was born…” — and I start feeling a little more buoyant. I started out looking for bath toys for my baby, but I just might have to get this radio for myself.
