My son’s still too small to reach the pedals on his tricycle, and his feet don’t yet touch the ground on the Skuut that the grandparents bought him. Luckily our neighbors gave us a hand-me-down Radio Flyer, which is just the right size—and stable enough for him to careen down the sidewalk without toppling. A winner.
I’ve loved old Euro-style girl bikes ever since college, when I lived in Italy and watched grannies pedal down cobblestone streets. So I was pleased when the Dutch bike trend finally took off in the states and I purchased one of my very own. But look at these yellow tires! Now I’m jealous. Time for an upgrade?
I love this Public M8 bike. It’s got eight speeds which makes it practical for getting up and down hills, it’s ready-made for adding a super cute basket to the front, and the frame design is based on a classic Parisian city bike from the 1960s and 1970s. But mostly I love it because it’s yellow.
I found this wicker dog basket for a friend from Chicago that was on the hunt for a bicycle seat for her pup. I’d buy it for myself, but my dog would tip the front of my bike over, and my cat would look like popcorn pinging around in a hopper (check out this pic to see exactly what I mean).
