jam on it

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

My friend Hannah first introduced me to this darling little chalkboard jam pot and I am in love! It is the perfect receptacle for all of those mystery mashes in my fridge, and so much more stylish than my current system of sticking masking tape labels on recycled glass baby food jars. Bon appétit, bébé!

chalk it up

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Do you get secretly jealous of the kids who get crayons and paper placemats at restaurants? No? Just me? Huh. Um, well, never mind. You probably won’t like these chalkboard placemats as much as I do, either. Whatever.

easel does it

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m on a catalog kick this week. Another one I love cracking open is The Land of Nod, which is always a wonderland of well-designed kids’ decor from the Crate & Barrel folks. New to this issue was a multi-tasking art easel, which can morph from chalkboard to whiteboard to puppet theater as well. Cool, right?

chalk it up

wall-candy-arts-animal-chalkboard-decalsI’ve got babies on the brain:  mine and everyone else’s.  But as my daughter would say, what about the big kids?  These stick-on, peel-off animal chalkboard decals would make a new big sister or brother very happy, and perhaps more importantly, keep them very occupied.
