always say thank you

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

Speaking of new year’s resolutions, this year I want to make much more of an effort to send hand-written thank you cards. It is such a treat to get something in the mailĀ that’s not a bill or a catalog, and in the age of email and texts, the familiar sight of a loved one’s handwriting is enough to make my heart swell.

goodnight goodnight

Monday, September 5th, 2011

My son has two obsessions: trucks and books. This adorable bedtime story is his dream come true. The only problem is that he doesn’t want me to stop reading it before bed. Again! Again!

bound for glory

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

My day job is in publishing, and old fashioned book bindingĀ holds a special place in my heart. These heels might be taking the literary motif a little too far, but they would accessorize nicely with this hand-bound iPad case.
