The ’70s were in full swing at New York Fashion Week. A disco vibe was expected from usual suspects Marc Jacobs, Halston, and Diane Von Furstenburg, but Anna Sui embraced the early hippie years of the decade with a Little House on the Prairie–meets–Woodstock theme, with a few signature black frocks and baby dolls thrown in the mix. This stellar collection marked her 20th anniversary in the fashion business, which she has commemorated in a new coffee table book due out next month. I’ve thumbed through an advance copy of this retrospective and it’s gorgeous!

We are the only house in our neighborhood without a pool, which means that whenever possible, we sneak over to our very patient, very generous neighbors’ house to take a dip.

I’m tempted to plant this waterproof disco globe at the bottom of their pool one night, just because I know they’d appreciate it, especially if we left them alone to aqua boogie.
