All of my son’s favorite stuffed animals have been handmade. My mother-in-law gave him a hand-knit bear when he was born. And my mom continued a long family tradition of sewing him a sock monkey last Christmas. Alas, I have no crafty skills myself, so thank goodness I have Etsy.

All the gorgeous color of coral with none of the ecological angst: the beads are vintage pearls that have been lacquered with coral, so no living reefs were harmed.
