Marc Jacobs must have been watching the opening season of Portlandia, because he’s gone and put a bird on it.
I’m celebrating the first day of spring by adding some color to my wardrobe. And everything is better in stripes. I feel happier already.
A big, cheery bag that folds into a little bag. To be carried around in your regular bag, for emergencies.
Last week, I had a delightful breakfast with the impeccably chic, very lovely Grechen, whose fashion blog empire seemingly encompasses all the discount codes in the known universe. Of course, we had to ooh and aah over each other’s outfits, accessories, and jewelry; but I was most taken with her gray Joie cashmere cardigan, which was sold out. Boo.
But! Yesterday I found a ray of gray light, on the front page of Nordstrom’s big, big sale. While this isn’t Grechen’s exact hooded sweater, it’s a similar style from the same line (minus her version’s dolman sleeves). And then I uncovered so many other good deals from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Leifsdottir, Ella Moss, and James Perse–all classic pieces and iconic shapes that you can wear now, wear in the spring, and wear forever, like that amazing Plenty by Tracy Reese sequin skirt that will never, ever go out of season.
1. Plenty by Tracy Reese Sequin Full Skirt; 2. Bailey 44 Contrast Hem Skirt; 3. BCBG Max Azria Graphic Sweater Dress; 4. Berman Black ‘Dennis’ Stripe Cardigan; 5. James Perse Rib Tank Dress; 6. Joie ‘Stones Throw’ Hooded Cardigan; 7. Kerrigan Gathered Pod Jacket; 8. Leifsdottir Ruffle Dress; 9. Leifsdottir Vintage Knit Jacket; 10. Marc by Marc Jacobs ‘Carousel Dots’ Top; 11. Meghan ‘Celeste” Minidress; 12. Monrow Print Tank.
*Please note: as of this post, all of these pieces were still available from Nordie’s site. Sizes and colors are going fast, so get to clicking.
