One thing I would love for Mother’s Day is for someone to take a beautiful family portrait… with me in it. I have zillions of photos of my son, and dozens of great pictures of my husband with him, but only a handful of good pictures of me. I regret not doing a professional shoot when he was a newborn, so I think it would be a nice tradition to take an annual Mother’s Day portrait to mark the passing years.
What do I really want for Mother’s Day? An escape. Warm sun, a swimming pool, lunch delivered to my lounge chair, an ice-cold mojito. And a swimsuit that covers a little more belly than in the old days.
