Wait, Lady Gaga is the creative director of Polaroid? So random. But I totally want the first product they are unveiling this May: an instant mobile printer that allows you to add the iconic white border with a push of a button. I’m your biggest fan.

great white

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

The LOMO has come a long way from the original plastic Russian camera of the 1980s. Today, Lomography is a way of life for a huge community of lo-fi photo enthusiasts around the world. And no doubt they’ll be clamoring for this Lomo LC-A+ White Japan Edition—only 1,000 made. It’s a stunner.

interior design

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

When you think of mid-century modern design, you probably picture a sparse, minimalist interior straight out of a DWR catalog. At least, I did, until I saw Leslie Williamson’s new book Handcrafted Modern. She photographed the homes of iconic designers like Walter Gropius, Eva Zeisel, and the Eameses… in all their cluttered glory.

i moo. do you?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

dear-sukie-moo-card-caseI carry a stack of Moo cards around, both for Misosouper and for my AWESOME NEW PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS that I can’t stop shouting about.  (Seriously–if you’re in Orlando or its environs, I’ll make you look good.)

Until recently, the cards just rattled around Ziplocked in my purse.  Professional?  You’re looking at her.  (In my defense, I just started wearing real clothes again.  And showering.  And sleeping more than 3 hours a night.  And if a new baby weren’t project enough, in the midst of this I began the aforementioned AWESOME NEW BUSINESS.)

These Moo card holders by Dear Sukie are the tops.  Made from sunny papers sealed tight in plastic, my new Moo case creates the mirage that if you hire me, that I can actually show up and accomplish something.

matthew-carden-red-table-wine-printAs of today, I am 36+ weeks pregnant.

And this, part of artist Matthew Carden’s Small World Series, perched on the edge of a most beautiful burgundy abyss, is what I’d most like to do.
