This bag, handmade by Miami-based Lucha Workshop, is :
a) huge. Which means I can stuff my traveling nursery in it with room to spare.
b) denim. Which means it will be virtually indestructible.
c) screenprinted with a charming yet terrifying mishmash of gun toting zombies, sea monsters and eyeballs. Which means it will probably bite you if provoked.
OK, so you’re not a bag whore like me. (Notice I said bag whore, not label whore; there is a distinct difference.) You actually want a diaper bag, one with pockets and compartments and cleanability. Plus, it needs to be attractive, and usable after your baby days are gone.
So you may not be a whore, but you are pretty greedy. I like that.

A big, cheery bag that folds into a little bag. To be carried around in your regular bag, for emergencies.
As I flipped through some old photos from my le smoking days, I noticed this lovely little purse that appeared in every picture, in outfits as disparate as a flouncy party dress with hooker heels to cutoffs and flip-flops. The bag was of the cross-body style, and telegraphed a very louche “I’m only 23 so I don’t need to carry around much shit” attitude.
My style from back then I’ll gladly dump; but that girl, and that spirit, I gladly embrace.
I’m a little beaten down by winter at this point, aren’t you? (And I live in Florida, which says something about either the weather this year, or my fortitude…probably both.) Mirror/Dash Rolled Cuff Tee (from Kim Gordon’s new line… just ignore model’s bleached legs); 8. UO Skyline Sunglasses, which perfectly capture our vintage eyewear moment; 9. Silence & Noise Fleece Motorcycle Jacket; 10. Serpentine Necklace, which was splashed all over UO’s catalog, because it goes with all of these pieces; 11. Silence & Noise Chevron Tank, which would make a fantastic outfit paired with the necklace on the left and the shoes on the right (add skinny jeans, please); 12. Jeffrey Campbell Crosshatch Platform, the actualization of fierce.
