I was seriously bummed to have missed the amazing Missioni for Target launch earlier this month. Alas, I was on Maui (poor me, right?) and I’m not about to pay eBay mark-up for the goods. But maybe I’ll splurge on a little consolation prize, not made on the cheap…
I know I posted about this Target line last week, but I have been fixating on the ottoman ever since. I won’t be able to get it out of my head until I post a photo to share it with you all. So here you go. Now we can all swoon together.
I found this slipper chair on Target’s website. Wait, what? The color is spot on, the form is classic, and the graphics are bold, modern, and cheerful. While we’ve all been wowed by the design sensibility Target brings to its fashion partnerships and mass market housewares, this is the first time I’ve seen it extended to furniture. And, omg I just saw that it also comes in yellow. And has a matching ottoman.
While we’re on the subject of limited edition designer collections, the John Derian home decor line for Target is another one to snap up while you still can. The New York–based decoupage artist has applied his signature curiosity-cabinet style to affordable housewares, like these melamine insect appetizer plates.
