instant love

Technology is a funny thing. The more addicted I become to Instagram, the more I miss my old Polaroid. After seeing so many beautiful images on the blogs of the folks I met at Alt Summit, I’m inspired to become a better photographer myself. So I might need this adorable camera bag to help me tote around my gear. Now I just wish I knew where she got those tights.

electric orange

This vintage clock looks like it belongs in a train station in Holland. Or a breakfast nook in San Francisco.

first edition

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

One of my favorite gifts to give is a beautiful old book, perfectly suited to the person receiving it. It’s not an easy purchase and you have to know the recipient well. But vintage covers are so gorgeous, and with this presentation, there’s no way you can go wrong.

i love lamp

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

It’s generally hit or miss when you order furniture online, sight unseen. But I so hope this Jaune Lamp is as lovely as it appears in the photo.

leather daddy

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

My dad has a Nikon Rangefinder SLR from the 1950s that I love. The camera has a snap-on leather case that wraps around the body of the camera, with a drop flap to uncover the lens. The extra lenses are stored in leather cylinders that resemble mini thermoses. Today’s digital SLRs don’t even come close to the class and style of the vintage models, but this handmade leather camera bag at least wins you back a few cool points.
